2. What data we collect and why

If you send us an enquiry through the contact form we collect the details you type in: your name, phone number, email address (optional) and your message.

• Purpose: to reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and, if you go ahead, carry out the work.
• Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)).
• Calls and emails: if you contact us by phone or email we keep the details you give us for the same purposes.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making, we do not sell it, and we do not send marketing unless you ask us to.

3. Who receives your data

• FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) - the service that delivers contact-form messages to our email inbox. It acts on our behalf and only passes the message on.
• Google - provides our email inbox (Gmail) and, if you allow it, the map on our contact section.
• Professional advisers, or authorities where the law requires it.

These providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

4. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after 12 months. If we carry out work for you, we keep the related records for as long as needed for contract, insurance and tax purposes (normally up to 6 years).

5. Cookies and similar technologies

• Strictly necessary: we store one small item in your browser (local storage) to remember your cookie choice. It does not need consent.
• Google Maps (optional): the map on our contact section is provided by Google and may set cookies. It loads only if you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner or press "Load map".
• Not used: we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so no data is sent to Google for fonts.

You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of the home page, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. Google's privacy information is at policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to our use of it, and receive a copy in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email sarmansofia@gmail.com. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
